Poet and author Miriam Stone published her first poems at age 16. She went on to publish her award-winning memoir just before her graduation from Columbia University, where she studied creative writing and was the recipient of the Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts. She has since worked as a writer and editor for magazines and websites and continues to write poetry and work as a freelance writer.
